Jessica Rehak’s journey with Habitat for Humanity of Marion County began in June 2022 with a dream—one of stability, security, and creating a place to truly call home. After years of living in Florida and working hard to build a brighter future, Jessica wanted to provide herself a safe and loving environment where memories could flourish.
Over the past year and a half, Jessica has shown incredible dedication. She contributed over 320 sweat equity hours, helping to build not just walls, but a strong community through her partnership with Habitat. “I am beyond blessed to have this opportunity today to own my own home and be on the road to success,” Jessica shared, her voice filled with gratitude. For Jessica, this home symbolizes more than a physical structure—it’s the culmination of hard work, perseverance, and community support.
This milestone was made possible through the generous contributions of many. The funds raised from events such as the 2022/2023 Fishing Tournament, 2023 Elvis Tribute Show, 2023 Bowl2Build Tournament, and 2023 Rodeo played a significant role. Additionally, vital support came from the City of Ocala SHIP Program, the HOP-Homeownership Pool Program, CareerSource CLM Workforce/Eckerd Connects/Youth Build, and local businesses including Gabriel’s Christian Book & Supply, Warren’s Power Washing, Legacy Furniture and Mattress, and the Country Road Quilters.
A special thank you goes to Chris’ Carpet Care, whose team ensured the home was spotless and welcoming for Jessica to begin this new chapter. Their effort added a thoughtful finishing touch to a home built with love and hope.
This story of hope and resilience is a testament to what’s possible when a community comes together to lift one of its own. Jessica’s new home represents a fresh start and the beginning of countless memories to come.
