This family-friendly fishing tournament promises a fun-filled day with unique trophies, exciting cash prizes, and opportunities for anglers of all ages and skill levels. Bring your family, friends, coworkers, and especially the young anglers in your life to enjoy a healthy, memorable outdoor experience. Together, we’ll inspire our youth to embrace fishing, connect with nature, and appreciate our beautiful waterways.

Angler’s Party

• Date: Friday, May 16, 2025

• Time: Doors open at 5:00 PM

• Location: Back 40 Barn – 11740 N Farmwood Ave, Dunnellon, FL 34433

• Details: Dinner, raffle items, silent auction items, and information about the tournament

Tournament

• Date: Saturday, May 17, 2025

• Time: SAFELIGHT to 4:00 PM

Weigh-In Details

• Time: 12 PM – 4 PM

• Location: Captains Cove Outfitters – 39 W HWY 40W, Inglis, FL (behind the large ice machine)

• Weigh-In Rules: Fish MUST be at weigh-in by 4 PM. Winners are determined by weight (based on paid teams; payout may vary). All fish must be of legal weight and length. Winners are selected by the heaviest fish in each category except for the ugliest fish category. Anglers can enter ONE fish per category. In the event of a tie (same weight), the winner will be the first angler to record their catch.

Where to Fish

• Gulf of Mexico or surrounding waterways – saltwater fish only

• Anglers may fish alone or with a group (no limit)

• Fish from a boat, paddle boat, kayak, canoe, inflatable tube, paddle board, jet ski, or simply with your toes in the water

Ugly Fish Rules

Catch an ugly fish – a fish you would not keep. Take a picture with you, the fish, and your angler card. Text your picture to the number provided and return the fish to the water.

Be creative – use funny faces or strike a cool pose with your fish. If you bring the ugliest fish to weigh-in, your entry will be disqualified. Do not text pictures of fish that you would enter into the fishing tournament.

Ugly fish include, but are not limited to: stingrays, blowfish, mudfish, etc. The committee will review all entries and select the TOP Ugliest Fish.

• Prize: $100 for the angler with the ugliest fish

• Bonus: More than one winner may be selected

• Note: Fish pictures may be posted on social media
