I’m a single parent of one beautiful daughter. I enjoy gardening, planting flowers, and having a manicured yard. I’m currently on a journey to be as healthy as possible and maintain a healthy weight, and have currently lost 80 lbs. My daughter is a freshman in high school and enjoys sports, doing hair, playing piano, and FaceTiming with her friends.
I was born and raised right here in Ocala, my family lives here as well. I’m so grateful for a new home and to be able to provide my daughter with a decent place to live, and we can finally have a pet! I’m truly excited about the kitchen since I love to cook. My daughter is thrilled about being able to decorate her new room. I’m going to have a housewarming party and ask my guests to bring plants for the yard.
I always knew about Habitat for Humanity, but never thought I’d be able to get a home. One night on my phone, a Habitat advertisement popped up and I said to myself, “If I don’t apply, the answer will always be no.” So, I decided to apply. Now here I am, getting a #ForeverHome for me and my daughter. The staff have been amazing so far helping me with the steps to homeownership. The financial staff has also been very supportive, working with me to structure my budget. Working with partners, staff, and volunteers has been a great experience, and I’ve made many new friends!
